AmEx has launched ezeClick, a payments solution eliminating the need to enter card details for online payments, in India.

Card members complete a one-time registration to link their card to an ezeClick User ID.

After pre-filling data such as card number, expiry date, postal code and the four digit CID code, the information is stored in the ezeClick virtual wallet for future use across participating merchants.

"The average online transaction size of American Express Cardmembers is more than three times the size of other online transactions," said Sanjay Rishi, American Express president, India.

"The power of their superior spend coupled with faster check outs and higher engagement means more business for merchants."

Cardmembers can sync multiple AmEx cards to their ID and choose separate cards for different transactions.
