UK-based Wirex has rolled out the first two-way bitcoin debit card, featuring a buy bitcoin function.

The new offering will allow users to purchase bitcoin, in addition to spending bitcoin anywhere Visa and MasterCard are accepted.

Users need to have an E-Coin account and Wirex/E-Coin debit card (virtual/plastic) for purchasing bitcoin from Wirex. They can buy bitcoin by loading funds onto their E-Coin card, with 0.01 BTC being the minimum purchasing amount.

The card can be funded through bank transfer, with supporting banks including Barclays, and Lloyds, among others.

It can also be topped up through alternative payment methods such as PaySafeCard, Alipay, eKonto, and Yandex.
