Olympus, a Japanese optical and digital products manufacturer, has selected Wirecard to deliver the complete suite of payment-related services for its new Europe-wide online shop.

Wirecard will integrate various international payment methods such as Apple Pay, IDEAL, credit card payments, MrCash and P24, and will be responsible for processing the payments.

It will also customise and provide the Fraud Prevention Suite (FPS) system designed for risk management.

FPS system detects real-time data and behaviour patterns, as well as leverages machine learning and artificial intelligence to prevent fraud and offer maximum security for all integrated payment options.

Wirecard vice president sales consumer goods Marion Laewe said: “Wirecard is simplifying payment processing and ensuring that e-payments are secure and flexible for both Olympus and its customers.”

Olympus Europe department manager of marketing communications, Christian Pott said: “We are delighted to usher in this new era with Wirecard at our side and to give even more customers across the world the opportunity to capture the best moments of their lives with Olympus’ cutting-edge technology.”
