Wirecard, a Germany based payment technology company, has teamed up with Staxter to provide payment processing services to Staxter’s soon-to-be-launched e-commerce and value-added service platform.

Acting as an acquirer, Wirecard will enable the German-based company to accept credit cards and alternative payment methods including Visa, Mastercard and Giropay, among others, within the app.

Staxter is set to introduce an app in Germany and the UK in October, which will provides users a digital ecosystem to purchase and gift vouchers, coupons and online tickets without service fees.

Staxter founder and CEO Mark Rosiefsky said: “Wirecard offers well-thought-out mobile payment solutions. This is a significant factor behind our further expansion in the field of in-app payment, making Wirecard our ideal partner for our new digital ecosystem.”

Wirecard head of sales telecommunications Philippe Laranjeiro said: “With our expertise, we want to support innovative digital solutions like Staxter. As their payment partner, we are looking forward to extending our collaboration and to supporting them to tap into new business areas from e-commerce to digital banking.”
