German payments firm Wirecard has rolled out its fully-digital multi-merchant loyalty solution that enables companies to expand overseas and broaden their sources of revenues.

The B2B2C loyalty solution connects loyalty and payment services within a digital wallet.

Wirecard will oversee the entire process including issuing and managing branded loyalty cards and apps as well as managing wallet transactions.

The platform will enable customers to earn rewards in the form of points, miles, or any other benefits whenever they pay with a linked payment method.

The reward points can be redeemed for digital money and can be used to make purchases both online and at point-of-sale across a variety of merchants.

Wirecard executive vice president of travel and mobility Jorg Moller said: “When it comes to loyalty programmes, engagement and simplicity are key. With our flexible loyalty offering, we can involve more companies on a global scale.

“As a result, consumers can engage in a larger loyalty programme, which offers them more channels to earn and spend their rewards around the world, and a seamless loyalty experience. We are excited to bring modern, innovative loyalty programmes to the market with our new solution and continue to digitalise daily financial management.”

Now, Wirecard is going to test the new solution with London-based CardGenY, a provider of digital transformation toolkits for the travel industry.

Under the agreement, Wirecard and CardGenY will offer loyalty programme operators with digital-first solutions.

CardGenY co-founder Peter Marriott said: “Loyalty and rewards is in our DNA – together with Wirecard, we are able to combine fully digital payment capabilities with a first-class loyalty management platform and points engine to support simple to complex programmes.”

Recently, Wirecard partnered with Singapore-based restaurant chain Paradise Group to process all card payments for the company.
