Online travel payment platform WeTravel has rolled out a prepaid credit card following a successful trial.
Dubbed WeTravel Card, the new offering will allow one to pay online and over the phone. The payments will be supported anywhere Visa is accepted.

The new card will enable cardholders to pay their vendors without the need to move funds to a separate bank account, a process that is time-consuming.
All this can be done without sign-up or annual charges as well as without foreign transaction fees for transactions made abroad.
Merchant will get payments in their local currency for all, except US Dollar.
Commenting on the new offering, WeTravel CEO and co-founder Johannes Koeppel said: “For multi-day travel companies that already collect payments and manage bookings with WeTravel, paying their vendors directly from the platform is the natural next step.

Currently, the new proposition can be availed by all US travel operators. At present, they can access the virtual version of the card, with physical cards expected to be made available soon.
WeTravel services suite includes the creation of booking pages, payment collection, payment plans, as well as booking management.
