UnionPay International (UPI) has partnered with Huawei and the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) to roll out Huawei Pay mobile wallet app in Pakistan.
The app is Huawei’s first new mobile wallet service that features dual payment options overseas and allows facilitates both contactless as well as QR code payments.

The Chinese payment firm said that Pakistani citizens who have a phone made by either Huawei or Honor will be able make online money transfers using either QR codes or contactless option.
Users only need to link their card to their mobile phone once and they can then access multiple mobile payment methods.
Users can access the payment function without opening the app, using the fingerprint authentication feature.
