Nebraska-based Union Bank & Trust (UBT) has selected digital payments company Prairie Cloudware’s platform called Digital Payments Guardian to power a UBT-branded mobile wallet.
Prairie Cloudware’s Digital Payments Guardian is a digital vault that offers customers an easy way to use and manage all payment types, from DDA accounts to credit, debit, store and gift cards.
The solution, which will be deployed in a SaaS environment using a private cloud computing environment, will integrate with UBT’s payments processing services.
Digital Payments Guardian will be used by UBT to support its mobile wallet for Android users, positioning its Visa cards as a convenient and secure top of wallet option.
The companies are planning to offer the same services to iPhone users once Apple opens up its ecosystem to developers outside their company.
UBT senior vice president Alan Fosler said: "Prairie Cloudware’s Digital Payments Guardian will facilitate tokenization of payment and personal data making it safer for the many customers we have who have Android phones to use their debit cards to make payments."
