Stainless steel credit card X1 Card opens waitlist for signups

X1 Card, the new credit card co-branded with Visa Signature and created with 17g of stainless steel, has opened its waitlist for signups.

Built using laser technology, the X1 Card offers smart credit limits, a rewards programme, and automated features for shopping and spending.

Shoppers can now make purchases anonymously, without revealing their personal details.

The X1 Card, which uses proprietary technology, allows cardholders to cancel subscription payments in one click, get instant refund alerts, and invoices.

They can also create auto-expiring virtual cards for one-time use, which can be used for ending free trials automatically.

The X1 Card offers 2x points for every $1 spent. For an annual spend of $10,000, cardholders can earn up to 20,000 points worth at least $200.

For an annual spend of a minimum of $15,000 – with $5000 increments of up to a maximum of $35,000 – cardholders can earn 3x points up to 105,000 points worth at least $1,050.

Lastly, cardholders can earn 4x points on every $1 spent for one month if they refer to one friend. If they refer more friends, they can earn points for more months.

The X1 Card can be used at 46 million merchants globally.

The points earned can be redeemed at Apple, Airbnb, Asos, Casper, Crate & Barrel, Glossier, Nike, Patagonia, Peloton, REI, Sephora, Supreme, Wayfair, and more.

X1 Card comes with five times higher limits than the traditional cards. It has no annual fees, late fees, or foreign transaction fees.

It offers an interest rate of 12.9-19.9%, and it charges a balance transfer fee of 2%.

X1 Card co-founder and CEO Deepak Rao said: “X1 Card doesn’t rely on the archaic credit score system to set limits and rates, its rewards program is the most generous offer on the market, and its built-in smart technology makes it easier to shop, save and spend with friends.

“Crafted with sleek stainless steel, the X1 Card creates a magical experience that feels both simpler and smarter than any other credit card on the market.”

X1 Card been introduced by PayPal co-founder Max Levchin, former Twitter COO Adam Bain, Libra co-creator and former Instagram head of product Kevin, and more.
