American mobile payments firm Square has released Build with Square, a set of tools that will help merchants to run every part of their business in one place.

A compilation of APIs, Build with Square will enable sellers seamlessly integrate their sites with the payments processor. This offering will pit Square squarely against the likes of Stripe and PayPal.

Using Square’s Register API, any iOS point of sale can be customized to process payments with Square. It also allows sellers integrate their third-party point-of-sale hardware with Square so they can accept both EMV and Apple Pay.

The E-Commerce API allows users easily sell goods through a self-hosted website. It also helps sellers with stores to leverage Square as a back-end processor for all transactions, to avoid the hassle of collecting payment from multiple sources.

Square in a blog post said: "Independent businesses have been poorly served by existing commerce solutions, which require them to laboriously piece together hardware, software, and payments services from many different vendors.

"From payments to point of sale, financing to payroll, we believe all sellers — big or small, online or offline — should be able to start, run, and grow their entire business with one cohesive system."
