Speedpay, a subsidiary of Western Union, has launched the Next Gen bill payment platform.

The new platform offers billers interactive voice response (IVR) enhancements, upgraded configuration capabilities, and a customer profile to manage wallet and notification preferences.

Next Gen can also be used to make functionality changes such as adding whole channels and payment types, changing payment validation rules and messages to customers and branding. The platform can also be used to change IVR prompts via an automated deployment process, Speedpay said.

Moreover, the new platform is routinely upgraded to offer clients access to the latest features and channels.
