South African Airways (SAA) and Nedbank have joined forces to introduce the new Voyager cheque card.
The new card offers air miles for every transactional swipe and is supposedly a world first.
Usually, reward programmes of airlines enable cardholders to earn air mile points based on their credit spending.
However, in case of the new proposition, users do not need to increase their credit spend for earning miles.
The companies also strengthened the SAA Voyager credit card service by offering Premium credit cardholders the chance to earn an additional 15,000 bonus miles every year on spend of at least ZAR300,000 ($21,292.3).
On adhering to spend thresholds, SAA Voyager Premium Credit cardholders can access an additional Global Companion Ticket.
