Societe Generale is set to enable its customers personalise their debit and credit cards that they use with Apple Pay.
The French lender offers more than 180 personalised physical cards. However, this will be the first time customers will be able to add their personalised card in Apple Pay wallet.

Societe Generale Card and Digital Payment head Julien Claudon said: “With Apple Pay’s personalisation mirroring our cards personalisation, we are demonstrating continuity between our digital and our physical products.”
The service is scheduled to go live by the end of this week.
With Apple Pay, customers can make online and in-store purchases by using iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad or Mac.
This payment service does not store actual card numbers on the device or Apple servers. Instead, it assigns a unique encrypted Device Account Number in a bid to secure transactions. All transactions are further validated with a one-time unique dynamic security code.
