Slash Financial has launched payment processing for approved merchants using its business banking platform, enabling them to accept debit and credit card payments from customers.

According to the company, the service is available through card acceptance within Slash Invoicing and a software development kit (SDK) for businesses developing custom web checkout and payment flows.

Approved merchants can create Slash invoices, enable card payments, and view the customer payment flow through the platform, Slash said. They can also use the SDK to develop a custom checkout experience.

Payments initiated through Slash Invoicing and the SDK will appear in the same Slash dashboard.

Whop will provide the underlying payment processing infrastructure. Its role includes merchant onboarding, payment execution, settlement, and other processor workflows.

Slash will manage the merchant-facing application, payments dashboard, refunds, payouts, and other elements of the user experience.

Slash Head of Product Andy Jiang said: “Operating a business in today’s environment requires complete visibility into the entire financial lifecycle.

“Slash payment processing is designed to help increase that visibility and fill one of the blind spots that so many businesses today face in a consumer landscape dominated by credit or debit card payments.”

The payment processing service is initially available to qualifying businesses in e-commerce, telehealth, software, and service agencies, including marketing, advertising, and consulting firms.

Slash Financial is based in San Francisco. It provides business checking, corporate cards, expense management, treasury management, global payments, and stablecoin support.

Earlier this year, the business raised $100m in Series C funding round led by Ribbit Capital. The round valued Slash at $1.4bn.
