E-commerce company Shopify has partnered with CoinPayments to allow all its merchants to accept cryptocurrency as a payment.

The strategic partnership between the companies follows a successful beta test that commenced last year.

As per the terms of the agreement, CoinPayments will now be a visible payment option for merchants on the Shopify platform.

The companies expect that this integration will make cryptocurrency payments easier and more accessible as well as slash transaction charges.

The partners also hope that the partnership will lead to wider adoption of payments in digital currencies.

CoinPayments’ crypto payments processing platform will allow vendors to get paid in any of the 1,800 cryptocurrencies.
