Card customisation specialist Serverside Group
has been awarded a European patent for its One Customer-One Card
(OC-OC) technology.
OC-OC is a digital print technology designed
for the manufacturing of payment cards on demand. Serverside said
the technology allows an unlimited number of designs to be
processed at the same time and there are no minimum order
requirements.

According to Serverside, the European
patent, which was granted at the end of last month, follows
patent awards in a number of countries that protect
its technology for enabling customers to design cards via its
website.
“Digital print technology empowers card
issuers like never before, enabling the smallest card runs to be
run off efficiently, multiple designs to be printed on a single
sheet and cards to be produced on-demand,” said Adam Elgar,
president of Serverside Group.
“With this patent, we have further cemented
our position as the sole legitimate provider of card customisation
and digital card production technology, which gives our clients
protection and all-important peace of mind.”
Elgar claimed that this patent comes at a
time when issuers around the world are experiencing strong ROI on
the back on card customisation programs.
