Salarium Payments (SALPay) has collaborated with Unionbank of the Philippines to create a co-branded visa card programme associated with its blockchain wallet called SALPay 3.0.

SALPay intends to utilise Unionbank’s EON digital banking platform to develop the wallet.

Under the deal, SALPay will distribute Unionbank and EON products, while the bank plans to provide SALPay’s payroll solutions to its Philippines customers.

Salarium Payments founder and CEO Judah Hirsch said: “Our clients have a new product offering SALPay + blockchain; their clients will have access to connect their payroll accounts to our free payroll platform.”

The firm has launched an initial coin offering (ICO) to create a SAL token and an exchange network for quick and inexpensive movement of its payroll solutions to international clients.

Initially, SALPay plans to license and launch the new wallet in Philippines, Singapore and Australia.
