Wirecard has signed a deal to issue the new RHB TravelFX multi-currency Visa card launched by RHB Banking Group’s Singaporean subsidiary.

The new prepaid card and its accompanying mobile app offer an easy-to-use platform. It provides competitive foreign exchange rates, real-time currency exchange and an option to use local currency in international markets.

Furthermore, the RHB TravelFX app provides RHB Singapore customers with access to eleven different currencies.

The RHB digital multi-currency card also facilitates withdrawal of local currency from the Visa/Plus ATMs. It also enables online purchases in any of the associated currencies and exchange of foreign currencies within its wallet.

In addition, the app allows management of the card wallet. This means the user can  locked/unlocked the card based on use.

Visa country manager for Singapore & Brunei Kunal Chatterjee said: “With a travel product like RHB TravelFX offered to consumers today, we believe more Singaporeans will embrace the benefits and convenience of using electronic payments, especially when they travel.”
