iPad point-of-sale (POS) software developer Revel Systems is partnering retail software firm Index to offer a new POS solution.
Index was set up by former Google Wallet executives Marc Freed-Finnegan and Jonathan Wall. It uses customer purchase history collected from credit card sales, linking the information to companies’ smartphone applications to offer customers a more personalised service.

By partnering Revel, Index will streamline its POS experience, offering retailers an integrated mobile payments, loyalty, and point-of-sale solution.
Customers will be able to pay for their purchases and redeem personalized offers with their app which will also be integrated with Revel’s POS.
Lisa Falzone, CEO and co-founder of Revel Systems said: "The decision to work with Index came naturally.
"Their customer-facing user experience integrated smoothly with Revel’s API, and it greatly personalizes the customer experience. Both companies had the same goals, and we had an immediate need for this integrated solution."
