UAE-based RAKBANK and local airline operator Air Arabia have launched a co-branded Mastercard Platinum Credit Card designed for both purchases and withdrawals.

Cardholders will instantly get a joining bonus of Air Rewards, Air Arabia’s loyalty programme based on spend, which can be used for free flights and to secure additional rewards from the airline.

The reward points earned through domestic as well as international purchases made with the new credit card can be accumulated and redeemed at a later time as vouchers for flights, meals and baggage.

RAKBANK CEO Peter England said: “Over the years, the Bank managed to transform the concept of card reward programmes in the UAE through a host of unique features and now we are extending Air Arabia’s Air Rewards loyalty programme to our cardholders.”

In addition, the card also comes with an option for 0% easy payment plan of up to 12 months and no processing fee, and free pickup and drop off services for Sharjah Airport.

Air Arabia group CEO Adel Al Ali said: “This new co-branded credit card is a new value added product that we offer to our customers to enjoy superior services and unique benefits across our network.
