MyOrder, a mobile payment start-up and part of Rabobank, has selected Wirecard to issue contactless mobile cards based on host card emulation (HCE) technology.
MyOrder will deliver a complete mobile ecosystem to consumers by adding the virtual cards for mobile point-of-sale payments to the platform.
Available through the MyOrder App, the virtual cards will be issued by Wirecard Card Solutions from the fourth quarter of 2015.
MyOrder app allows customers to order in advance and pay with their smartphone at over 14,500 participating retailers in the Netherlands
Wirecard’s mobile payment technology will allow MyOrder customers with an Android device to use their wallet app with the HCE mobile card to make NFC payments at any terminal, which accepts Maestro contactless.
MyOrder CEO Michael Dooijes said: "Soon our customers will be able to make contactless mobile payments around the world."
