Qantas has enhanced its Frequent Flyer program for New Zealand residents with the introduction of a new prepaid travel money card, dubbed Qantas Cash.

The new offering is a prepaid multi-currency facility built into the company’s Qantas Frequent Flyer membership card.

It is accepted at millions of participating MasterCard locations across the globe, and can be loaded with nine varied currencies.

Cardholders are allowed to lock-in exchange rates at the time of foreign-currency being loaded, before they travel.

Members are awarded Qantas Points for eligible spend both at home as well as overseas. This includes one Qantas Point for every NZ$2 of eligible spend in New Zealand dollars locally, and one Qantas Point for every NZ$1 equivalent of eligible spend in foreign currency.
