Qantas Business Rewards and American Express (Amex) have introduced a new rewards card that enables SMBs in Australia to earn Qantas points directly on their daily spending.

The card, known as The American Express Qantas Business Rewards Card, can be bought at an annual fee of $450.

Cardholders can earn 1.25 Qantas points for each dollar spent through purchases made directly with Qantas, such as flights, Qantas club membership, and at Qantas Store.

Further benefits of the new rewards card include: triple Qantas points on eligible Qantas flights; 0.5 Qantas points per $1 spent on utilities, insurance and government organisations; two complimentary Qantas club lounge passes per card membership year.

Additionally, domestic and international travel insurance will be covered for the card member, partner, dependents and employees with supplementary cards when purchase is done with the card for their travel.

Qantas Loyalty CEO Lesley Grant said: “Consumers can already earn Qantas Points using a points-earning card so we want to make it just as easy for small businesses to do that too.
