Energy company Phillips 66 has extend its private label and universal fleet card services deal with corporate payment solutions provider WEX.

Under the multi-year deal extension, WEX will continue to offer fleet cards and offer payment related services to Phillips 66 customers.

The partnership between the two companies began in 2010, when the two companies collaborated to deliver a comprehensive sales and marketing engine.

The engine leverages new payment technologies to support fleet customers, independent marketers and dealers across 7,000 fuelling locations.

In 2014, WEX and Phillips 66 extended their partnership.

WEX senior vice president and general manager of small business and channel partnerships Jay Collins said: “We’re proud to deepen our relationship with Phillips 66 and to leverage its powerful market presence, which has expanded nationally over the last few years.

“This extension reflects our mutual commitment to grow together by providing innovative payment solutions, world-class service, and a dedicated team to help Phillips 66 build its customer base and increase brand loyalty to the iconic Phillips 66, Conoco and 76 brands.”

WEX focuses on delivering financial technology services across multiple industries including fleet, travel and healthcare. The company operates in more than ten countries through nearly 4,900 associates.

Last month, WEX closed the acquisition of Go Fuel Card, the fuel card business of British fuel station and convenience retailer EG Group.

Go Fuel Card had around 200,000 proprietary cards in circulation. It is accepted across 5,000 retail stores in the Netherlands, France, Belgium and Luxembourg.
