PCI Pal has introduced a rapid deployment version of its payment services to enable organisations to clear customer payments quickly while working at home.

The new proposition is in response to the Covid-19 crisis that has led to social distancing and remote working.

As a result, several contact centre agents along with other back-office staff taking payments are currently working from home.

The new service clears payment in 48 hours, noted the company that offers services through the globally available cloud environment.

It facilitates businesses with home-based workers who are unable to use secure payment solutions through their existing remote telephony connectivity, or where using mobile or landline phones.

With Rapid Remote, organisations can address security concerns while managing payments as well as adhere to PCI DSS norms.

The new offering does not expose cardholder data to the home-working agent or enter the company’s network.

This is said to lower the scope of PCI DSS significantly.

PCI Pal CEO James Barham said: “With our Rapid Remote deployment solution, organisations can move quickly and be assured their customers’ sensitive payment information will remain secure, even as agents adjust to remote working.

“As a cloud-based, global, secure payments provider, organisations have been looking to us to answer their compliance questions in these unprecedented times, fast! We have therefore created Rapid Remote to empower customers to gain access to our cutting edge, secure payment services at a pace of delivery previously unseen in our market. So not only are payments handled by remote working staff securely, but also within the requirements of PCI DSS.”
