Paysafecard has launched its prepaid voucher
product in Mexico, further expanding its presence in the Latin
American market.

Paysafecard partnered with online payment
service provider GlobalCollect in June to increase its availability
in Argentina, and secure a base for its current launch into
Mexico.

The payment method enables consumers to make
online cash payments without the need for a bank account or credit
card.

Users can obtain e-vouchers in denominations
of MXN100, MXN250, MXN500 or MXN1,000 ($8, $19, $39 and $78).
Customers then authorise payment by entering a 16-digit PIN.

“The market potential for prepaid payment
methods in Latin America is tremendous,” says Michael Mueller, CEO
of paysafecard group.

“The demand for international prepaid
solutions was enormous when we introduced paysafecard in Argentina.
Now we experience a similar demand in Mexico where credit and bank
cards still have low market penetration. A solution like ours
enables hundreds of thousands of people who do not have a credit
card or a bank account to make purchases online.”

Vouchers can be bought at 280,000 outlets in
Europe and Latin America, and over 3,500 web-shops around the world
accept paysafecard as a payment method.
