Patientco, a payment technology company, has deployed its cloud-based validated point-to-point encrypted (vP2PE) EMV terminals into healthcare software company EPIC’s EHR technology.

Developed in collaboration with EPIC and South Georgia Medical Center (SGMC) in Georgia, US, the new payment technology is intended to offer maximum security.

The P2PE solution can be easily integrated into EPIC credit card device framework and accepts any type of point-of-service payment within the company.

It allows remote management and provides location-based payment reports.

In addition, the technology is said to optimise EPIC workflows, as well as automates daily reconciliation of bank accounts and posting to patient accounts.
