By Angelo Boccato

Ogone, a global online payment processor owned by Ingenico, has launched a chip and PIN mobile payment solution called ‘Ogone mPOS’ in the Netherlands.

The company says the payment solution is set to enable businesses to take payments on the spot and is focused on businesses such as delivery services, market traders and transport operators.

Maurice Van Dijk, head of sales Netherlands at Ogone said: "Ogone mPOS symbolizes the perfect win-win situation.

"Merchants benefit from faster payments and a better cash flow. Their customers can pay on the spot and do not have to sit behind their laptop to transfer the money later on."

The solution is based on Ingenico’s mPOS technology united with easycash’s processing solution.

A chip and pin debit and credit card reader are connected with iOS and Android smartphones and tablets.

Merchants download the Ogone mPOS app on their smartphone and use Bluetooth to pair it with their Ogone mPOS device.
