Northwest Federal Credit Union introduces instant credit cards issuance service

American credit union Northwest Federal has started issuing credit cards instantly across its all branch offices in the US.

Once a customer applies for a new credit card or a replacement card, the applicants are provided with contactless, ready-to-use cards in minutes.

Northwest Federal president and CEO Jeff Bentley said: “We are proud to provide our members with a product that stands out as fast to market and provides them with even more convenience.

“Even if a member experiences fraud on their card they no longer need to wait for their new card in the mail. They can get a replacement same day as quickly and painlessly as possible.”

The latest move is part of Northwest Federal strategy to improve its member experience by providing best services leveraging technological innovations.

Northwest Federal provides a number of credit card options, such as its NOW Rewards card. The cardholders can earn 1.25x points for every dollar spent.

Northwest Federal, set up in 1947, serves over 260,000 members and has assets more than $3.5bn.
