The device runs on Android 12. It combines a touchscreen with a physical keypad and includes integrated printing, contactless, smart card and magnetic stripe acceptance, camera functionality, and 4G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.

Under the partnership, PeP is using its own payment application on the N950K.

Newland is supplying the Android terminal and the infrastructure layer that supports the device estate.

PeP is introducing the N950K as part of its Android terminal strategy. The move is aimed at updating merchant estates that have historically relied on Linux-based devices.

Poland remains a heavily contactless payments market. According to the National Bank of Poland, contactless cards represented 97.7% of all payment cards issued in the country at the end of June 2025.

The central bank also said all POS terminals in Poland had been adapted for contactless payments.

PeP POS & payments products development director Karolina Pająk said:“We are particularly pleased with the excellent results of this deployment and the positive feedback from our partners, as they confirm that the market is looking for solutions that are fast, intelligent, scalable, and ready to evolve.

“Our goal is to deliver products that not only strengthen customer service operations but also support business growth and offer a wide range of services.”

Alan Moss, general manager for Europe at Newland, added: “This deployment is a key first step for Newland in the Polish payments market. PeP operates in a highly advanced payments environment, where providers need infrastructure that can be managed efficiently and adapted over time.

“Our role is to provide the Android terminal layer that helps partners service, update and scale their estates more effectively.”
