Navy Federal Credit Union has introduced an upgraded version of its More Rewards American Express credit card that offers more rewards to cardholders.

The upgraded offering will offer 3X points on dining. The old version offered 2X points at restaurants.

Under the newly added transit reward category, the cardholders can avail 3X points for payments made at toll booths, ride-sharing apps, parking garages, taxis, metro, among others.

The upgraded version will also retain the existing rewards of 3X points on supermarkets’ shopping and gas stations as well as 1X point on everything else.

Navy Federal vice president of credit cards Aaron Aggerwal said: “With this upgrade, cardholders will receive even more value for all the different ways they eat and get around.

“For our members, commuting often means more than just filling up the tank just as dining means more than just sitting down at a restaurant. This card was built to provide the best rewards for purchases they make every day.”

The card is available without any annual fee to both new and existing cardholders. Also, the cardholders do not have to pay any fee on balance transfer, foreign transaction and cash advance.

Under the introductory offer, the customers can avail benefits including 30,000 bonus points on spending $3,000 within the first 90 days as well as 0% intro APR on purchases for 12 months.

American Express global network services vice president Ann Sattin said: “We have a strong partnership with Navy Federal Credit Union and are thrilled that we could work together to help their cardholders earn more rewards at the places they spend most often.

“Cardholders can now enjoy an even more rewarding card with the backing, trust, and security of the American Express network and Navy Federal.”
