Australian department store chain Myer is set to launch its new rewards credit card sometime in October 2017.

Myer said that its relationship with Latitude Finance Australia to issue the Myer Visa Credit Card and Myer Black Card has come to an end. Subsequently, the company has decided to enhance its offering with Macquarie Bank.

Linked to the Myer one rewards programme, the new product, Myer Credit Card, will be issued by Macquarie Bank.

Powered by Visa, the new offering will enable the cardholders to earn unlimited shopping credit points without paying any annual fees for the first year.

They can earn up to 3 Myer one shopping credits for every $1 spent on eligible purchases at Myer and its affiliates and 1 Myer one shopping credit per dollar spent everywhere else.

The new Myer Credit Card also doubles as a Myer one card. The cardholders can enjoy a zero percent balance transfer for 14 months from approval.
