MPayMe has established business operations in Italy, with an aim to expand its mobile business platform ZNAP in the country.

The expansion of ZNAP into the country will enable Italian merchants of all types to optimise transactions and boost wallet share through multi-channel mobile payments with value added services, including loyalty, business intelligence, geo-location, offer marketing and much more.

The company has appointed Elisabetta De Bernardi as CEO of the Italian operation, She has served as the executive director with Morgan Stanley in Italy.

De Bernardi said, "There is an enormous interest and demand for mobile services in Italy. Banks, operators and major brands are announcing plans to roll out mobile payment services.

"Merchants need very little investment to get up and running with our platform and our wide ranging functionality and global footprint sets ZNAP apart from other players that are nearly always limited in scope."
