Mozido, a US-based digital payment and commerce solutions provider, has launched its NFC mobile payment and loyalty services for Telkomsel Indonesia, in collaboration with Verifone Mobile Money.

Also, Mozido partnered with Finnet Indonesia to connect users with Indonesia’s banks nationwide.

Under the deal, Mozido will power Telkomsel’s NFC-based TWallet application for its 140 million subscribers, allowing them to tap and pay with their mobile device at participating merchant locations.

Additionally, Mozido will enable Telkomsel’s merchants with a mobile coupon management system that delivers them the ability to sync their own branded coupons with TWallet consumers.

Mozido’s NFC wallet app will be available at participating merchants including McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Baskin Robbins, 7 Eleven, Cinema XXI, GraPARI, Alfamart and Indomaret.

Using this mobile payments wallet, accountholders are able to use the services from their mobile wallet application.

Mozido said that TWallet’s mobile money service, which allowed consumers to only check account balances, pay bills, airtime top-up, P2P transfers, and view transaction history, was previously a USSD (unstructured supplementary service data) service, disconnected from the wallet.

Mozido founder Michael Liberty said: "Indonesia’s 255 million people are ready for mobile solutions that enable payments, financial inclusion, and consumer engagement. Mozido is privileged to quickly expand our presence in this important region by powering TWallet for Telkomsel’s 140 million subscribers."
