MOL AccessPortal, an e-payment enabler for online goods and services in Malaysia, has introduced its own mobile wallet app, dubbed One2pay.

Anyone with a valid Malaysian mobile phone number can sign up to the app, which is regulated by the central bank of Malaysia. The app can be used across all 7-Eleven stores in Malaysia.

In order to accept payments through the app, merchants have to scan One2pay users’ barcode/QR code.

Users will be able to buy One2pay top-ups at any local 7-Eleven store or through online banking, and will also be allowed to cash out the e-wallets into their bank accounts.

“With One2pay app, users can send cash easily and quickly to family and friends. They can top-up their telco accounts, pay utility bills, buy game PINs and more right inside the app,” MOL said.

MOL plans to expand One2pay’s reach to more than 6,000 touchpoints in one year. The company is also in talks other retailers such as Starbucks, Wendy’s and Kenny Rogers Roasters to accept the app.
