MBNA, a UK-based credit card provider and Bank of America’s wholly-owned subsidiary, has unveiled a new credit card.

Dubbed MBNA Everyday Plus American Express Credit Card, the new product offers a long-term rate of 7.4% for eligible new customers.

The card will not charge any handling fees for use in the UK or abroad which includes money transfers, balance transfers and ATM usage. Also it will not have any annual fee or foreign exchange transaction fees.

Compatible with Apple Pay and contactless technology, the new credit card will provide cardholders access to multiple offers and benefits from American Express. It will be available for retailers accepting American Express worldwide, and will help newly approved customers gain access to American Express Connect.

MBNA chief executive Ian O’Doherty remarked: "By removing certain fees, we’ve created a simple and easy-to-understand credit card that gives people amazing flexibility when it comes to borrowing."

"We believe it’s a card that transcends the current UK credit card comparison tables and delivers value like no other."
