American Express, Maybank and Pantai Holdings
have partnered to offer Malaysia’s and Asia’s first co-branded card
for the healthcare industry.
The Pantai American Express Credit Card offers
benefits at the chain of 10 Pantai hospitals nationwide. It is the
first such co-branded card issued on the American Express global
network targeting consumers in Malaysia.
The card offers members savings on hospital
charges, cash rebates on all expenses at the hospitals and five
times TreatsPoints at selected healthcare and wellness
merchants.
Card members can also receive Pantai vouchers
based on a minimum accumulated spend over 12 months which can be
redeemed for health screenings at hospitals.
“Current credit cards in the market offer
limited health-related benefits such as basic screening,” said
Ashraf Ali Kadir, Maybank’s senior executive vice president and
head of consumer finance.
“The Pantai American Express Credit Card, when
used at Pantai Group of Hospitals, offers an unparalleled range of
benefits for outpatient and inpatient treatment.”
