American department store chain Macy’s has announced plans to expand its Star Rewards loyalty programme.
Through the programme, members can earn rewards on every purchase, irrespective of how they make payments.
Besides, members can spend their rewards on “all their favorite products, including top brands”, the retailer noted.
The retailer is holding a contest in its app. Under the contest, which started on 10 February and will end on 23 February, 50 Star Rewards members can earn 100,000 points each that translates to $1,000.
Macy’s chief customer officer Rich Lennox said: “With nearly 30 million members and growing, Macy’s Star Rewards programme has been a huge hit.
“We hugged our best customers with the relaunch in October 2017 and then expanded it in 2018 to all customers.

Platinum members with at least $1,200 annual spend can get 5% back in rewards and free shipping on Macy’s purchases using Macy’s credit card.
Silver, Gold, and Platinum members can also avail a 25% discount with Star Pass coupons. Bronze members can earn 1% back in rewards.
