Marking the formal launch of its business partner network
initiative Belgian financial services technology developer Callataÿ
& Wouters (C&W) has formalised its partnership with UK
technology and business services company Logica.
As the key feature of the partnership Logica will offer and
implement the full range of C&W’s flagship Thaler multichannel
core banking system to financial institutions through all possible
delivery methods, such as direct implementation, business process
outsourcing and software-as-a-service. C&W will maintain
licence responsibility and provide implementation support and
training as required.
“Logica’s decision to sell and implement the Thaler range, in
addition to the investment in training staff, reinforces the
credibility of the solutions,” commented C&W’s CEO Marc De
Groote.
As part of the partnership Logica will also invest in setting up a
competence centre through which their staff will be trained to
implement the Thaler products. This centre, established in Brussels
and already serving the Belgian and French markets, will initially
aim to serve customers in Europe with plans to extend the service
globally.
Commenting on the partnership, Martin Dieussaert, Logica’s MD of
financial services in Belgium, said: “Callataÿ & Wouters’
extensive expertise and reliable product offering complement our
commitment and ability to deliver a service that enables customers
to support new business challenges. This partnership will no doubt
lead to increased opportunities for us in this relevant business
line.”
Logica’s partnership with C&W represents the most advanced of
four categories offered by C&W as part of its business partner
network initiative. The other three categories are registered
staffing partner, registered system integrator and certified system
integrator.
