Lebanon and Gulf Bank (LGB) has partnered with MasterCard to launch a new credit card, UAE Dirham MasterCard Credit Card, designed for the bank’s visiting and UAE resident customers’ daily payment needs.
The card allows users to shop and pay in local currency without having to manage any conversion fees.
LGB vice chairman and CEO, Samer Itani, said the introduction of the UAE Dirham MasterCard Credit Card comes in conjunction with the opening of their representative office in Dubai.
“This helps in meeting the needs of our visiting and resident customers in the United Arab Emirates. The aim of this new card is to facilitate daily payments in the local UAE Dirham currency,” Itani added.
MasterCard Levant market manager Basel El Tell said, “LGB Banks’ UAE Dirham MasterCard Credit Card is a first of its kind payment solution introduced in Lebanon and we are confident that the Lebanese cardholder segment will immensely benefit from this payment tool.”
