JPMorgan Chase will offer its mobile wallet Chase Pay as a new payment option in Meijer stores later this year.

The move will enable Chase cardholders to check out with their mobile phones in Meijer stores.

Customers will be allowed to make payments using a Chase Visa credit card, use Chase Ultimate Rewards on eligible cards as well as use their mPerks.

In December of last year, The Kroger, another American retailer, introduced Chase Pay to its customers.

Chase head of digital products Jennifer Roberts said: “Mobile phones can be an indispensable shopping tool for everyday grocery shopping, from browsing and list making, to checkout. Chase Pay can help customers save time and money and complete their shopping experience.”

Meijer has over 235 stores across Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky as well as Wisconsin.
