JCB International (JCBI), the international operations subsidiary of card company JCB, has established a new office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The opening of the new office is part of JCBI’s strategy to improve brand presence in the market. The announcement was made on the occasion of an event, organised to celebrate JCBI’s 25-year anniversary in Vietnam.

JCBI president and COO Koremitsu Sannomiya said: “I am delighted to have this conference in this memorable year of JCB business in Vietnam. This chance provides us with an opportunity to share JCB's brand strategy, and to build stronger ties with partners.

“Thanks to the support from partners, our business in Vietnam has been growing rapidly so far. Through the new office in Ho Chi Minh City, we want to build close relationships with partners and will keep investing to strengthen our presence in the Vietnamese payment industry.”

JCBI forayed into the Vietnam market in 1991 partnering with Vietcombank in acquiring business. Currently, it has partnerships with 13 banks.
