iZettle to provide mPOS solutions to Nordics’ bank Nordea

Nordea, one of the largest financial services group in Northern Europe, has chosen mobile payments company iZettle to be its provider of mobile point of sale (mPOS) solutions.

Nordea, one of the largest financial services group in Northern Europe, has chosen mobile payments company iZettle to be its provider of mobile point of sale (mPOS) solutions.

The bank will promote iZettle mPOS products to its small business customers on its website and in its 800 branch offices across Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.

Jacob de Geer, co-founder and CEO of the mobile payments company, said: "iZettle is all about sales for small businesses – making sure no sale is ever missed, and that sales data can be used to generate even more sales.

"Great partners like Nordea give us the access and support we need to achieve our ultimate goal of helping small business prosper."

Swedish company iZettle was launched in 2011 and now offers products and services in the UK, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Mexico and Brazil.

It is regulated by Sweden’s Financial Supervisory Authority and is compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
