India-based ICICI Bank has introduced a new service for its travel cardholders to reload their card instantly with foreign currency through internet banking platform and mobile banking app, iMobile.
Intended to ensure convenient international travel, the on-the-go digital, paperless option also allows customers to reload the ICICI Bank Travel Card of their close relatives such as parents and children. This will be possible only after linking the card to their bank account.

The bank has also added capabilities to block/unblock travel card, view mini statement, and update email address and mobile number, to its internet and mobile banking platforms.
Furthermore, cardholders also get to refund the amount on their travel card to the linked savings account using the bank’s internet banking.
ICICI Bank executive director Anup Bagchi said: “Over the last few years, we have seen an exponential growth in the number of Indians travelling abroad. Keeping this in mind, we have added a host of new features and benefits to the bank’s travel card.
“These aim at providing customers with a convenient and secure way of carrying foreign currency while travelling abroad. This also helps customers to manage their travel related expenses in a seamless manner from anywhere across the globe while they are in transit.”
