HSBC has partnered with Visa International to launch new Platinum Cashback card in Sri Lanka, offering more benefits on everyday spend.

With 10% cashback on use at supermarket or fuel station, the HSBC Visa Platinum Cashback Card is designed to consolidate all spend into one platform.

In addition, up to 0.1% cashback is available on other spend, along with up to 50% discounts at more than 100 local merchant stores such as dining, hotel stays and travel.

Through HSBC’s Home & Away privilege programme, the card provides more than 250 offers at merchant outlets globally.

The bank is also offering additional offers for first time users and attractive interest rates on instalment plans.

HSBC Sri Lanka country head of retail banking and wealth management Nadeesha Senaratne said: “The new proposition is an outcome of data driven insights and listening to the voice of our customers.

“Given the larger relevance on selected categories and the attractiveness of ‘extra-fy’ benefits, we are very confident that the new product will become the latest plastic money in your wallet this year.”

Visa Sri Lanka country manager Anthony Watson said: “Visa is pleased to join hands with HSBC in presenting the HSBC Visa Cashback Card to its customers.

“With an increased rate of credit card penetration in Sri Lanka, we believe that the Sri Lankan consumer is ready to embrace new and value added services that give them extra benefits on their cards.”
