GlobalOnePay, a payment technology provider based in Texas, has teamed up with California-based security technology firm ThreatMetrix to strengthen its online fraud detection and scoring engine called Sentinel Defend that protects cross-border transactions.

GlobalOnePay will utilise the power of the ThreatMetrix Digital Identity Network, which assesses and risk scores online transactions using anonymised data to reduce fraud and improve authentication decisioning.

The collaboration will also enhance Sentinel Digital Fortress, the omni-channel fraud reduction solution of GlobalOnePay that incorporates technologies for fraud prevention, post-fraud analysis and recovery.

Commenting on the alliance, ThreatMetrix vice president of strategic alliances Leah Evanski said: “As global commerce continues to grow, decline rates in cross-border payments remain too high, leaving significant opportunity on the table. The ThreatMetrix Digital Identity Network delivers the intelligence needed to safely accept more orders across markets, even where identity verification is challenging.”

GlobalOnePay vice president of product Tedd Huff added: “The global breadth of Sentinel Defend, part of our Sentinel Digital Fortress programme, provides intelligence and protection which spans borders, helping our merchants to expand into new markets with confidence and drive additional revenue.”
