Global Payout, a US-based electronic payment and prepaid card solutions provider, has launched a new dynamic currency conversion (DCC) solution that allows customers to benefit from the growth of international retail.

Called HomeCurrencyPay, the solution will automatically detect non-domestic cards and provide international cardholders the choice to pay in their home currency.

With this product, cardholders will know exactly what they will be charged without unexpected exchange rate surprises and no extra fees.

Additionally, the retailer will be offered a commission on every non-sterling payment.

HomeCurrencyPay aims to convert 32 commonly transacted currencies into the customer’s card billing currency at the point of payment.

The solution can also be used in line with other terminal-based software, such as tax free shopping, to create a full package for international spend, both online and on terminals.

Global Payments managing director Chris Davies said: "What’s more, online retail offers a potentially huge new audience, and HomeCurrencyPay could provide a competitive edge to retailers in capturing a slice of the global market."
