Cryptocurrency exchange Gemini Trust Company has entered into a new partnership to integrate its app with Samsung Blockchain Wallet.

The move will enable Samsung Blockchain Wallet users in the US and Canada to transact and trade in cryptocurrencies.

According to the company, Gemini is the first US crypto exchange and custodian to partner with Samsung.

Gemini CEO Tyler Winklevoss said: “Crypto is not just a technology, it is a movement. We are proud to be working with Samsung to bring crypto’s promise of greater choice, independence, and opportunity to more individuals around the world.

“Now, Samsung Blockchain Wallet customers can buy crypto in a simple, elegant and secure way on Gemini.”

The Samsung Blockchain Wallet is designed to enable users to manage crypto transactions from certain Samsung phones.

After connecting Samsung Blockchain Wallet with Gemini, users can purchase and sell cryptocurrencies.

The integration will also enable them to view their Gemini account balances and move crypto into cold storage with Gemini Custody.

Founded in 2014, Gemini allows customers to transact in more than 20 cryptocurrencies.

In March, the company collaborated with Itiviti to allow cryptocurrency holders trade through NYFIX.

NYFIX is Itiviti’s FIX-based order routing network which is used by more than 60 companies to provide integrated trading solutions.
