FreeCharge, a digital payments platform owned by online retailer Snapdeal, has teamed up with Yes Bank and MasterCard to introduce a new virtual prepaid card named FreeCharge Go.
The card, linked with the FreeCharge wallet, facilitates online transactions throughout all online merchants in India.
Users can activate the card in only a few seconds through the FreeCharge account. The card can be recharged by adding money to FreeCharge wallet.
FreeCharge Go incorporates 128-bit encryption and is stored according to PCI DSS compliance in order to offer customer data security.
Transactions made through the new virtual cards are verified by an OTP that is sent to the registered mobile number.
Moreover, the wallet company also intends to roll out a marketing program soon for its virtual card with personalised offers for customers depending on their usage patterns.
