FIS, a provider of banking and payments technology, has launched FIS Instant Card, a cloud-based instant issuance solution for EMV-compliant credit and debit cards.

According to the company, its new solution will enable financial orgainsations to immediately issue ready-to-use credit, debit or prepaid cards to customers or members in the branch or store location.

FIS Instant Card that allows financial institutions to print cards for new accounts or to offer immediate replacement of a card, is a secure, cloud-based, instant issuance solution for EMV-compliant credit and debit cards.

Leveraging a private cloud-based solution, FIS Instant Card does not need any server software or processing hardware to be installed or maintained at a financial institution’s location.

FIS manages all server hardware, security modules, card profiles, keys/encryption, EMV data preparation, PCI compliance, which enables financial institutions to quickly and affordably offer instant issuance to customers.

Anthony Jabbour, EVP, FIS North American Financial Institutions, said: "FIS is creating the most complete instant issue solution on the market, synchronizing in-branch and central fulfillment, while also fully integrating EMV."

"With FIS Instant Card, a bank or credit union can issue any card their customer wants, anytime and anywhere they need it."

In order to fulfill any financial institution’s instant issuance needs, FIS Instant Card provides various flexible options such as flat print or embossed personalization, blank or custom pre-printed card stock, edge-to-edge four-color or monochrome print, EMV and mag-stripe encoding, among others.

To make in-branch issuance a synchronized and automated part of the overall card account opening and card activation process, the technology combines with a financial institution’s core, card management and EFT systems, thereby eliminates dual data entry.
